This is a tricky one. Take a look at the image to the left. Go ahead, click on it and take a good long detailed look and come back here. I’ll wait…
Good enough? Okay, now… is this CG or is this a real actress?

So that time is once again upon us. Tomorrow the 2008 Electronics Entertainment Expo opens and we all know what that means… Announcements. Since it’s still early, I think it would be a good time to outline what I expect to be announced this year. Time will tell if I’m wrong, but fun will be had by all.

Yes, I took the plunge and replaced the Dell 19″ LCD I’ve used for a little over 3 years and gave it to my Girlfriend. Its replacement is this beautiful display you see to the left, the Samsung 2493HM 24″ widescreen LCD. This thing is absolutely stunning, has a native resolution of 1920×1200 which is greater than 1080p HD. The only drawback on this thing is the buttons on the front of the display, they’re biometric sensor buttons so there aren’t physical buttons there and I would have preferred that. It’s really a pain because the buttons aren’t dimly back lit (which is odd, that would have made sense) so it’s hard to see where each button is. You’d really need a flashlight to see where the buttons are. Outside of that though I can’t express how sweet it is to be playing TF2 and WoW in that kind of resolution without a single lag.

An old friend of mine sent these to my email and apparently she took them while on the freeway today… That’s a huge crack in the windshield…

It’s official, after many companies have decided to break away from the ESA (Entertainment Software Association) such as Vivendi and Activision, it looks extremely unlikely that E3 will ever be the gala event in gaming that it once was. Personally, I blame them doing away with Booth Babes for it’s downfall as well as the decision to make the media have to hop around 20 hotels to interview the people they were able to interview under one roof the year prior. As a way of mourning, we here at Consolenauts would like to offer everyone a look back on some of the best *AHEM* moments from the Video Game Mecca that was E3… in the form of Booth Babes of the past all sorted by the companies they were there to represent and they year the photos were took. Well actually, just Tecmo, because I don’t think anyone could argue they had the best. Plus I can think of no better shameless excuse to post images of scantily clad women on the site…

And I see we’re not alone in doing so… I wonder how far he is or if he’s hit up the strip clubs. I’ll bet he’s too busy finding stones to cast to really get into it.
