I really wish we’d been able to cover Wipeout XL on our podcast before we had to end it. That game’s been a sinful love of mine since the late 90’s back on the PS1. Anyways, I digress…

It looks like the PSN version will be hitting the internets on September 25th for a measly $20. For that $20 you get 8 tracks, 38 trophies, 1080p gameplay @ 60 fps… I have to admit I’m a little damp… Piranha Team FTW!!!

The most anticipated game of all time finally has a release date… Someone hold me… The game will see a September 7th release date and will be available on PC/Mac as well as a dumbed down version for the DS and Cellphones. Earlier still there will be a Creature editor released without the full functionality of the game where you can create new creatures and import them into the game once it is released. Judging from the slew of new images coming out of EA, this game is likely going to live up to the hype, which is a major accomplishment indeed. It’s 2008, the holiday season has passed, we’re hitting a dry season for games and a lot of gamers are forgetting about the awesome games that are going to be released (hopefully) in 2008. This is just a few that we here at Consolenauts are dampened just thinking about and most definitely do plan on purchasing on release day…
