So since this awesome game allows you to apply the old Wipeout 2097 HUD skin in the game, how about make it even more old skool by loading up the music from Wipeout XL as well? Well my dear readers, I have given you what you need. Below you’ll find a direct download for the entire redbook audio from Wipeout XL in 192-320 kbps VBR mp3 form with very neat and tidy ID3 tags for every file.
To use this simply put the contents of the RAR file (you’ll need WinRAR or 7-Zip to open) directly onto a USB thumb drive, slap it into your PS3 and copy the contents onto it. You can use these tracks from in-game under Options > Audio > Music Playlist > Various Artists - Wipeout XL.

I just wanted to quickly chime in since I’m working at the moment, but I’ve been trying to find this specific song for the last year or so. I found it recently and it all started back when this video was one of the most dugg videos on digg.com:

You may remember back in mid 2007 I was raving about how excited I was for this game. The idea of a futuristic Action-RPG with Demons in the vein of Diablo made for a very interesting prospect. Sadly, the game did not deliver on the promise or hype in my humble opinion…
