Yes, I took the plunge and replaced the Dell 19″ LCD I’ve used for a little over 3 years and gave it to my Girlfriend. Its replacement is this beautiful display you see to the left, the Samsung 2493HM 24″ widescreen LCD. This thing is absolutely stunning, has a native resolution of 1920×1200 which is greater than 1080p HD. The only drawback on this thing is the buttons on the front of the display, they’re biometric sensor buttons so there aren’t physical buttons there and I would have preferred that. It’s really a pain because the buttons aren’t dimly back lit (which is odd, that would have made sense) so it’s hard to see where each button is. You’d really need a flashlight to see where the buttons are. Outside of that though I can’t express how sweet it is to be playing TF2 and WoW in that kind of resolution without a single lag.
Here’s a scan from the manual of its specs:

Take a look at some pics I’ve cobbled together:

Mmmmm sexay…

Does this mean our bedroom has officially become the “man cave”?
Well we don’t have an official man cave, so it will have to suffice.
